Happy New Year!
I hope that 2011 is treating you well! I certainly can’t complain!
A few months ago I was approached by the editor of Spool Magazine about featuring my Entrelac Scarf pattern in their Winter 2011 issue. I was, of course, thrilled to share the pattern with an even larger audience of needleartists and was excited to get the issue last week in the mail, hot off the presses.
I’ve talked about Spool before and will continue to sing its praises. This issue in particular is packed with a lot of fun projects to knit and crochet and even a cute baby quilt that is perfect for the new quilter (like me!).
Look for it at your local fabric or yarn shop, order it online, or subscribe at SpoolMag.com.
And many thanks to my amazing friend, Heidi, who took a most excellent photo of the scarf for the magazine.

March 12, 2011 at 10:45 am (13 years ago)Hi;
Just started this scarf and got to the first left triangle and am stumped as to how to pick up the next 6 stitches on the wrong side facing me. is it picked up from the triangle next?? I’m following in a knitting class but next session is the 22nd; am impatient!!! Have been a knitter all my life (83 years old) so when I don’t know how to do something I go “bonkers”. Nutty old lady. January 23, 2012 at 8:24 am (12 years ago)Love this scarf! I have about 12 inches of one made, it is so easy to do! Posting a picture in my fb pictures, hoping you can see what I have done so far.
Thanks for offering it as a free pattern.

February 9, 2012 at 9:53 am (12 years ago)All of your work is beautiful. I have crocheted for years, but I’ve only recently picked up the needles to teach myself to knit. I’ve been hooked, of course! Can’t seem to put the needles down!!! I have done a few easy projects and one sweater. That turned out well, so I started on socks! LOVE IT! I was happy to see your blog! Thank you for the free, beautiful scarf pattern!

February 15, 2012 at 10:04 am (12 years ago)I have been trying to find an entrelac scarf for several months now. I collected several patterns on-line and then bought several books. By far, yours was the easiest pattern to follow. Thank you so much for your clarity!
Now, if you would only design a triangle entrelac shawl!
