Strawberry Pop Tart

Strawberry Pop Tart is an asymmetrical shawl knit side-to-side starting with a garter stitch section that can really show off your favorite variegated yarn.

The “Pop Stitch” section at the end is fun to knit and pairs perfectly with solid or semi-solid yarns.

The shawl is long enough to wrap around your neck several times for warmth or let it hang loose for the perfect “pop” of color with any outfit!

Both charted and full written instructions are included.

C1: Twisted Owl Fiber Studio Super Sock 4-ply, 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon, Dancing Bears, 1 skein
C2: Twisted Owl Fiber Studio Super Sock 4-ply, 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon, Bleeding Heart, 1 skein

Yarn Requirements:
light fingering weight yarn – 1 skein of variegated/C1 (sample used 384 yards) and 1 skein of solid or semi-solid/C2 (sample used 454 yards). Approx 900 yards total if only using one color.

Needles: US size 6 (4 mm) needles (or size to obtain gauge)

Notions: yarn needle, blocking pins/wires

Gauge
26 stitches and 52 rows / 4 inches in garter stitch (unblocked). Gauge is not crucial since this is not a fitted garment but changes in gauge can affect both the size of the shawl and the amount of yarn required to complete it.
